Weeloom Tales

Weeloom Tales

Last week she was nervous about the pool. Tonight, so is her best friend Marlo.

Tell us something about the week or create a new adventure. We'll turn it into a week of illustrated bedtime stories starring the character you created — with a gentle lesson tucked inside each one.

Free for 7 days · No card needed to start

We don't need the name or photos of your child, ever.

You're out of bedtime stories. We're not.

By the time bedtime rolls around, you've made a thousand small decisions and you're running on fumes. And now someone wants a brand-new story. Made up. On the spot. Again. There are only so many nights the same brave dragon can save the same village. Your kids deserve better than that, and honestly, so do you.

Why us

Why Weeloom Tales

Most story apps hand you a fill-in-the-blank template. This is closer to having a writer on retainer. At Weeloom Tales, we create personalized bedtime stories for kids that follow where your child actually is — with the same friend, week after week.

  • You set the direction, every week

Other bedtime story apps for kids make you invent a fresh theme from scratch each time. Here you send a few lines each week — the real stuff, or something you made up, your call — and the week's stories grow out of it.

  • A friend they pick, who stays the same

Not a generic character on a generic quest. Your child picks their friend once, and that friend stays recognizably themselves across every story and every illustration — same face and same small habits, week after week.

  • A different angle every night

Each story in the week explores the theme from a new direction, and each one ends with a question to talk about together. By Sunday you've built something closer to a series than a stack of one-offs.

  • No photos. No names. Ever.

We don't need a picture of your child and we don't need their name. You invent a character and describe them — that's all the story needs.

  • Written for bedtime, checked before it's written

Every story passes strict content rules before generation begins: no violence, no scary turns, no profanity. Just age-appropriate bedtime stories for kids, built around a real lesson.

  • A gentle lesson every night

Each of the stories explores a different angle of the week, and each one closes with its own reflection question that you can use to start a conversation.

How it works

Once a week. That's it.

Send a theme, or tell us how their week actually went. We write personalized bedtime stories and send them back, illustrated.

  1. Step 1

    Pick their friend

One short note per hero, once every seven days, whenever suits you. A goal scored, a hard day, a new friend, a meltdown you'd rather forget. Real life or made up — your call. Two kids means two notes, because they didn't have the same week.

  2. Step 2

    Send a theme

Pirates, dinosaurs, being brave about the dentist — whatever they're into that week. Takes thirty seconds.

  3. Step 3

    Stories all week

That theme becomes a week of original, illustrated personalized bedtime stories starring your child's friend — each one taking a different angle on the theme, each with its own gentle lesson and a question to talk about after. Read them together, or listen to the narration if your plan includes it.

Library

A peek inside the library

These are real stories, built from sample themes we wrote ourselves — the same way yours will be. Each week starts with a few lines about the week, and then ends up as a great bedtime story like here.

Pricing

Simple pricing.

Every plan covers at least two heroes and two separate story series — each kid gets their own full week of stories, written and illustrated, delivered throughout the week. Higher plans add more heroes and narration on every story. Or add a single hero to any plan for a few dollars, no second subscription needed.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Anything else, and we're a message away.

  • Are these personalized bedtime stories?

Yes, but not the way most personalized children's books work. We don't put your child's name on the hero. You and your child pick a friend instead — a character who is like them and gets them — and that friend is who the stories follow. The stories are shaped by what you send us each week. You can shape the week based on experience, a feeling, or some other event that your child can see themselves in.

  • What makes this different from other bedtime stories for kids?

Most story apps hand you a library, or ask you to invent a fresh prompt every time. Here the same friend comes back week after week, and what you tell us shapes where that friend goes next in the bedtime stories.

  • Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. On a monthly plan, cancel whenever you like and you won't be billed again — you keep access through the end of the month you've paid for.

  • Do you need a photo of my child?

No, never — and we don't need their name either. You describe a friend: a name for them, an age band, and what they're like. That's all we use. The illustrations are generated from your description, not from any image of your child.

  • Do I need a credit card to start?

No. You can design their friend and start your free trial without entering any payment details. When the 7-day trial ends, you'll be asked whether you'd like to continue — that's the point where you'd add a card. If you don't, nothing happens and you're not charged.

  • Are the stories written by AI?

Yes. Every story is generated, illustrated, and — on the Full Loom plan — narrated using AI, working from the character you created and the note you sent. Every one passes content rules before it's written: no violence, no frightening turns, no profanity.

  • What if I forget to send my weekly note?

We'll remind you. If the week gets away from you, you can send it late and the stories start from there — nothing is lost.

  • Do I need to write something every day?

No — one short note per friend, once every seven days. That single note becomes the whole week's stories, delivered a night at a time. Two kids means two notes, since they didn't have the same week.

  • What age range is this good for?

Stories are written to an age band you choose — from toddlers just starting to sit through a story, up through middle grade and teens. Sentence length, vocabulary, and story length all shift with the band, and you can change it as your child grows.

  • Can I read the stories more than once?

Yes — during your subscription plan, everything stays in your library. Most families end up with favorites they come back to.

Still deciding? Compare the plans.

Give this week a happy ending.

One note. A week of stories. A hero who's been having the same kind of week they have.
